After much delay and posturing, I finally decided nudge myself firmly into the poor house -- I bought a Nikon D70 and some related accessories. The quality is stunning, but it only underlines how little I know about photography.
At least I can put my old Toshiba camera out of its misery...

I've been trying to give away some Gmail accounts on my site over the last couple of weeks, but still have a few left. Drop a line (with a working email address) if you want one.
